What a load of ‘BO11LUX’

Ballsy plate gets pulled by the DVLA
The DVLA have ordered a man from Chesterfield to remove his number plate less than 6 weeks after he bought it from them.

The plate, which reads ‘BO11 LUX’ cost Alan Clarke £399 from the DVLA personalised registrations website.

But they have now threatened him with a fine of up to £1,000 because the plate is ‘causing offence’.

On the Daily Mail website he stated: “I saw it on the DVLA website last November and thought it would be a bit of fun to put it on my new car.”

He added: “They are threatening to criminalise me. But they are a government agency and they put the plate on their own website for anyone to buy so it’s 100 per cent legal.”
